Main characters: Lindsay Boxer – San Francisco detective, Cindy Thomas – reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle, Claire Washburn – Chief Medical Examiner, and Yuki Castellano – district attorney
Summary: This is the 8th book in the Women’s Murder Club series and is based in San Francisco with the main characters. There are several different stories evolving during this book and each one has a fun/unique twist. One plot revolves around the murders of the rich that baffles the detectives, another plot is the murder of a homeless man, and of course there is always a bit of love intertwined. One of the best parts of the book is not knowing if all the plots will come together or if they are all separate stories.
My opinion: I really enjoy the Women’s Murder Club series in general – I have enjoyed the first seven books and this one did not disappoint. The story was interesting and the characters always seem real to me. If you haven’t read the first seven it would not be a problem – each book can stand on its own. I will definitely read The 9th Judgment.
Enjoy
