Disappointed!

The book, Forever, is marked as a  romance and suspense novel and was written by a New York Times Best Selling Author, Jude Deveraux.   I am not sure I would agree with any of these descriptions.

    The plot of the story revolves around a millionaire, businessman, Adam Montgomery, and a woman he hires, Darci Monroe, as his personal assistant.  Both characters have overcome rough childhoods that have pushed them into this situation of witchcraft/murder/child abductions/ and more.  Darci, who has the gift of “true persuasion” is hired by Adam as a personal assistant in order to help find out what happened to his parents when he was a child.  The story continues to deepen by the idea that there could be love between the two, who are both trying to prove who they are and who they are not.

My opinion:  I didn’t find the book either interesting or not – it was an easy read that didn’t get too deep.  There were times in the story that I found the characters to unbelievable and I had to force myself to continue.  I think the plot had potential but wasn’t executed well.

After reading other reviews, I will definitely try Summerhouse but may not be able to read anymore of the Forever series – only time will tell.
